Well, I didn’t get a chance to have a go at photographing the comet yesterday. We rented Hoodwinked! and I forgot all about the comet. Hoodwinked! is an animated whodunnit set in fairy tale land. Somebody is stealing goody recipes all through the forest, and putting all the sweet and snack shops out of business. Now fate has brought Granny, Red Riding Hood, the Wolf and the Woodcutter together and the cops are out to find out what happeend between the 4 of them and who the goody thief really is.

Feeling a little out of it today. Can’t seam to come up with much inspiration for either a Thursday Thirteen or Poetry Thursday meme, so I’ll give the Thursday memes a skip this week. Figured I’d tell you about my Hunter character instead. Jad hasn’t been feeling up to running Deadlands for the last few weeks, so this week Mr. Moggles kindly agreed to run a game for us instead of Jad’s usual Deadlands. Mog decided to introduce us to Hunter, an RPG from the White Wolf system.

Maybe. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself here, but after about 6 months without role-playing, I find that I really miss it. So just the prospect of being involved in a campaign again is somewhat exciting.

My lack of luck when it comes to keeping characters alive continues. Although, this time it’s provided me with a new experience. This is my 3rd Deadlands campaign so far (admittedly my second one was only a 1 day campaign) and for the first time I have a character that didn’t survive until the end of the campaign. Hehe, I don’t mind too much. I finally have that deadlands experience that everyone else keeps having. Since she’s now dead, I can actually write about her.

Well, at long last heres the RPG post that I’ve been promissing for a while now. It’s a somewhat sad post as well. Sad for those who enjoyed reading about Lynt and her adventure. Alas, she was turned into a squishy pile of pink and red gnome bits by a shambling mound in a room on the 2nd level of some magical dungeons. The poor little thing has not had much luck since she came to claim her little “winter retreat”. So, spare a minute to bow your head in mourning for her, and be especially vigilant for items around you that might be coloured pink. Take some time to stop and study the colour that Lynt loved so much and remember her when you do so.
