Well, I watch The Da Vinci Code last night. It was ok. As far as blockbusters go, it wasn’t too bad at all. My suspicions were right, the book did translate into a movie rather well. Most of it was pretty true to the book, although (ofcourse) they did leave out some stuff from the book. Even with(out) that the movie was just a little bit too long; towards the end there I did find myself wondering when it was going to end already.

Slither is a comedy-horror movie starring Nathan Fillion (of Firefly/ Serenity fame). Its about an alien worm that invades a planet, takes over the body of a creature on that planet and proceeds to either infect or eat everything else made of flesh on said planet, before moving on to the next. And now it’s Earth’s turn.

Well, with The Da Vinci Code getting it’s worldwide release yesterday, the movie critic that I love to hate, from one of our national radio stations, has decided to watch and review it. Now, this is what you need to know about Megan Spencer; She’s one of the snootiest critics around. If a movie has just the slightest whiff of “artsy” about it she’s bound to like it, while if it’s big budget and coming out of Hollywood its almost guranteed that she’ll hate it. I don’t know why Ms. Snooty even bothers to watch big Hollywood movies like The Da Vinci Code. Anyway, these are excerps from her review that irritated me so much:

Some people in the scientific comunity think that there is a cooperative relationship between wolves and ravens. Others deny any existence of this relationship and claim that any evidence of it is just coincidences due to ravens being attracted to carrion. While I freely admit that animal behaviour isn’t exactly my field of expertise, from everything I have read, watched and observed about ravens I don’t think that it’s entirely beyond their problem solving abilities to develop a “friendly” relationship with wolves so that they could get a free meal from wolf-kills.
